Our Mission

We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit on a mission to increase composting and recycling capacity, access, and participation in the Philadelphia area via land use, education, and resources for communities in need. 

Our Vision

We work to:

  • Increase composting capacity in the Philadelphia area by assisting in the creation of a new, permitted composting site

  • Receive applications and offer funding for composting services to interested individuals in the city of Philadelphia living below the poverty line

  • Assist in community efforts to transform vacant lots into green spaces for community gardens, community composting, and other community use

  • Educate people about the importance of and proper way to compost, and "the 4 R's" (refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle)
